WHEN INITIALLY MEETING KORI, I KNEW THAT WE WERE ABOUT TO CREATE SOMETHING BOLD AND UNIQUE. from brand photography to the occasional wedding. she does it all. SHE ENJOYS CAPTURING VIBRANT PEOPLE BUT ALSO SOFT & GENTLE PERSONALITIES. SHE OFTEN FEELS LIKE SHE IS PULLING CONTRASTS TOGETHER at all times.. SHE RUNS HER BUSINESS WITH BOTH BOLDNESS & SUBTLY, DRIVE & TRUST,
AND EMPATHY & AUTHORITY. it was important to communicate this sort of beautiful tug of war in her brand identity.

 Kori wanted to reach higher paying, luxury level clients while still seeming approachable and herself. she also needed to create a connection with her audience; something she already knew she could do through her photos but not her current brand.  

the DESIGN

CREATING the logo suite, we developed a logo that was elegant, romantic, and bold. The subtle serif and curve of the r bring movement to the type and reflect kori's flow of her business. This elegant with a hint of whimsy logo type communicated Kori's sophistication & human side. Highlighting that she's professional but personable.

the r intertwined with the o is a very small representation of a camera lens without being outwardly obvious. we wanted to have the option of having one logo just say "kori." the power of just a name felt bold, free, and unique to her business. it also gives her the freedom to position herself how she wants to in her growing business.

creating an unforgettable experience in her brand was key. her color palette creates the emotion of her business. the dark green and burgundy are authoritative colors positioning her as a trustworthy & refined photography. they also create sophistication around the brand, creating a luxurious feel to attract higher paying clients.
