Today, I’ll be featuring one of my Fall 2020 brand + web design projects; the three sixty method!
About the Brand
I’m absolutely elated to be sharing with you the strategy & intention behind the three sixty method! Keep reading for all of the goodness!
The 360 Method is an online and in person program dedicated to helping individuals in all stages of parenthood. The program is a holistic (360) approach to pre and postpartum training through the physical, mental, and healing processes of carrying a baby.
Their goal is to help individuals properly & safely heal, maintain, & regain strength in order to feel stable, strong, healthy, and confident. There is so much that happens to a your body (mentally, physically, & emotionally) during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum that NEEDS specific training and intentional practice in order to move better, rebuild core muscles, and feel whole again.
The 360 Method is committed to getting you to feel whole again.
Entering into the wild and uncertain territory of parenthood, it’s easy to feel instantly overwhelmed. Most individuals joining the training program already feel completely anxious about the change their bodies are going to experience. As well as feeling concerned about staying safe and keeping the baby healthy.
Knowing the amount of stress someone seeking this kind of program must be under, I knew the brand needed to feel like a breath of fresh air. It needed to be clean, minimal, and easy to interact with.
To communicate feelings of serenity and refreshment, we chose a blue and grey toned color palette. And it is beautifully calming and clean.
To trust a trainer with your body, let alone your body when it’s carrying a new life can be an extremely unsettling experience. To settle the nerves and create trust, we made sure the brand felt professional and clean. People trust what is clean, consistent, and easy to read/feel. And we did just that.
Through bright imagery, Easy to read fonts, a minimalistic logo, and neatly/thoughtfully organized content on their site; i’d say we achieved that perfectly intriguing but refined brand identity.
We knew that keeping to a professional and reliable brand was our goal but we didn’t want things to feel too stiff.
One of their brand values that we uncovered in their brand strategy session (read the strategy session, here) was an being an authentic, real, and safe space for expecting parents.
And a stiff, lifeless brand just wouldn’t reflect this. To incorporate the symbolism of “360” I created hand drawn circular shapes to use sparingly across their site and collateral. A touch of something heartfelt but still precisely clean enough to feel calming.
You know I’m a sucker for a hand written signature. So, to bring some authenticity and approachability to the design, I created a hand written signature to use as a touch to say “hi, welcome here. let’s be friends.” It was a way we solved their problem of wanting to appear professional but still approachable.
